H2O Ranch came into existence in 2001 in Washington, Texas and is now home to owners Steve and Diane Holt, two dogs, Sushi and Saki, one cat, Boo Boo, seven horses, three donkeys and our cattle. All of the animals are considered an extended part of our family. Therefore, they receive the best care we can provide on a daily basis.

The "ranch bug" bit us after spending time at a friend's ranch in East Texas where we discovered our fondness for horses, cattle and wide open spaces. While our ranch keeps us busy, the hard work of the country has proven to be more meaningful than the rat race of the city.

Our Beautiful Backyard!

We love our land and our animals and take great pride in our efforts with both. Although we may be new to the cattle business and ranching, we believe we are off to a good start.

A note about the owner's Steve & Diane Holt...

People often ask them, why a ranch? The answer is simple...it's in Steve's blood, his family has always loved agriculture and watching things grow and Diane has a deep love for animals, as well as taking care of them.

Steve and Diane met in Pittsburgh, PA in the early 90's and since Steve is a native Texan, he just had to move back to Texas and decided to bring his converted cowgirl wife, Diane, with him. Diane was mainly a city girl, but she grew up riding horses and taking care of animals. She never minded hard work and getting dirty, so she adapted well to ranch life.

Steve's family came from Oklahoma and have Cherokee Indian blood, which is where he gets some of his personality from. He is also related to Comanche Chief, Quanah Parker.

With our family's background of ranchers and farmers, lover's of land, wide open spaces and God, we intend to carry on the tradition with honor and integrity. We are constantly trying to expand our ranching knowledge and help others do the same, so if you are ever in the area stop on by.
